Dear Sirs,

Relaxation of foreign exchange regulations
for trade transactions – extended facilities

Attention of Authorized Dealers (ADs) is invited to FE Circular No. 13, dated March 19, 2020 regarding policy supports, applicable till September 30, 2020, to export trade due to Covid-19 pandemic.

02. Given the ongoing situation due to Covid-19 pandemic, it has now been decided to extend the supports till March 31, 2021. It has also been decided to enhance the tenure of realization of export proceeds up to 90 days, as additional time from the statutory period of 4 months. Hence, the relevant instruction in paragraph 2(a) of FE Circular No. 13/2020 shall stand amended.

03. The facilities for the extended period shall be applicable only for exports of readymade garments and textile goods. Instructions contained in FE Circular No. 13/2020 and other relevant regulations with regards to trade transactions shall remain unchanged.
