FAMILY REMITTANCE FACILITY FOR FOREIGN NATIONALS WHO ARE RESIDENT IN AND HAVE INCOME IN BANGLADESH. REF: FEPD CIRCULAR NO. 06 DATED 15.04.2013.

Attention of the Authorized Dealers (ADs) is invited to the Paragraph-8, Chapter-11 of the Guidelines for Foreign Exchange Transactions (GFET), 2009 (Volume -1) in terms of which foreign nationals who are resident in Bangladesh and who have an income in Bangladesh are permitted to make monthly remittances to the country of their domicile out of their current savings up to 50% of their net income to cover their commitments abroad.

  1. It has now been decided that the foreign nationals who are resident in Bangladesh and who have an income in Bangladesh are permitted to make monthly remittances to the country of their domicile out of their current savings up to 75% of their net income to cover their commitments abroad.
  2. The aforesaid decision shall come into force with immediate effect.
  3. Other instructions contained in the Paragraph- 8, Chapter-11 of GFET, 2009 shall remain unchanged.
